2003 to 2009. Battlestar Galactica. Highly acclaimed and the signature series of the SciFi Channel (before it changed its name), this re-imagining owed most of its success to high production values and an almost complete lack of plot; ultimately it descended into soap opera in space.
4 Seasons, 75 Episodes.
Complete lack of plot??!!!!
Did you even watch the show?
Perhaps I should have included the word “original”.
However, to explain a bit further (because I like to hear myself type): Soap Opera concerns over who is sleeping with whom or which person is more angst-ridden over the latest betrayal does not a plot make.
Just about everything else in that show is re-tread.
heh this is when people who call themselves critics, dont watch series and they say lot of crap
admin i feel sorry for you if you find BSG soap opera. Just go back and watch prison brake again
don’t feel sorry for – I’m doing just fine without having to watch either the original BSG, the 1980s re-do or the millennial piece of hack work that started failing so badly that it lost almost all of its audience at the end.
I feel sorry for people like you who are forced to believe that BSG is great SF on television because you’ve never had the opportunity to see anything really worthy of the name.
